Welcome

Summer 2008

Anita Boyer - CTC Chairman

Hello, and thank you for logging on to our website.

Well - we did it - TWICE! - the boys "got their kit off" during early May and again in early July in 'The Full Monty' - we weren't sure if Loughborough was ready - bit it seems they were!  Gagging for it in fact!

Our 6 "main men" of the cast really did us proud, despite being a tad nervous about what was in store for them - we're all very VREY proud of you guys!  We couldn't have done it without you.  We all had a BLAST performing it to packed houses every night for 14 nights in total!

We are now selling tickets for 42nd Street (to be performed in January 2009) - get in quick if you want to see it - they are selling like hot cakes!

We now have 2 fabulous casts lined up for you for 42nd Street and 'Hello Dolly' (to be performed in May 2009).  These two shows will bring more new talent to the principal line-up yet again, alongside more recogniseable "troopers" - check out the casting pages for more details.

Thanks to the loyal support of our ticket-buying public, we managed to donate a whopping £5,500 charitable donation to the Mercury Phoenix Trust following our sell-out production of 'We Will Rock You' back in January.

Our recently revised Production Team are now enjoying a well-deserved break untill we kick off with 42nd Street rehearsals in early September.  I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Vicki Hing for taking over at short notice as our Musical Director (part-way through a rehearsal period); and as always, thank you to John Lewin our Producer/Director; Michael Gamble our Choreographer (slave drivers!), and of course to our dedicated volunteer "technical" and "behind the scenes" crew - who are the "A TEAM" - they work hard to add the touches which we hope set us apart as one of the most professional "amateur" groups around.  Remember - "Amateur" is not the standard of a production, it just means we don't get paid!
